Jen has worked over the past 18 years in Alice Springs in senior managerial roles in the arts, Indigenous, tourism, community, and social services sectors. She has extensive local and national knowledge across the not-for-profit and government sectors; and a strong commitment to Aboriginal self-determination believing that community development principles are one of the major keys to achieving this and addressing the broad range of issues affecting Indigenous people and the ongoing impacts of Australia’s history of colonization.

Jen has a deep respect for the richness of Aboriginal culture and traditions and through her professional practice has sought to create an environment of mutual respect and understanding, by bringing together Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, enhancing support for the concept of practical reconciliation with the aim of improving recognition of the unique contribution Indigenous Australians make to our society.
